PRAYERS DO WORK!!!

PRAYERS DO WORK!
Coming home early from a seminar yesterday, Thursday, I saw my son and his playmates gathered at the bridge by the creek.
I asked what's the fuzz all about.
It turns out that the basketball my son was playing fell to the creek and they were desperately trying to get it by themselves. And then came Rogie and Tetey to rescue the poor ball from getting swept and drifted far from reach.
In short they were able to get the ball and returned it to Day. I told him be careful next time.
I went home to change clothes while Reheeza was preparing to go to the market and I asked if I could come which she obliged. On our way, we saw Day and Nite playing by the creek and asked them to go home for it is getting dark. Nite asked if she could come. Day went home while we tagged along the little girl.
We did our errands and went home. By the door I was approached by Day apologizing and crying profusely. "Daddy sorry!!" he said repeatedly in between sobs. I asked-"WHY??? What happened??? Something wrong here I sensed! Was it the camera? Was it the laptop? Or anything that got broken by him???
Rogie narrates that after we left he went back near the creek and played some more and the ball got flying again in the creek. Unfortunately, they weren't able to get it and it went adrift, helplessly watched as it got lost out of sight. I went silent for a while and berated him for not following instructions! I saw a contusion on his chest as a result of trying to rescue the ball. He got tangled with a wire while he tried to reach for the ball. I commanded him to take a bath and cleansed his wounds after which the anger was replaced with worry.
While eating dinner, he was teased by Rogie and Tetey that while waiting and crying for our arrival, he was clutching and praying the rosary. Being the Catholic school boy that he is, he turned to prayer. Maybe praying that I would not get angry, which slightly was granted or praying that he get the ball back. Because he knows that it is part of my Coca-cola collection, having the logo etched on it and having purchased it since the early 2000's. Accepting the fate of the ball, I treated is as part of life.
Today at around 8 in the evening today, I called Rheeza to tell her I'll be late. She told me that she has a good news! She told me that the ball was recovered!!! Wow! I asked how it happened. It turns out that a scavenger plying the creek collecting garbage from it had the ball when he saw it floating somewhere far from where it fell. A group of kids was trying to ask for it from the scavenger when RED pass by and noticed it. He told him that it is our ball and it has fell there yesterday and somehow convinced him to give it back. Up to now, he is amazed how he has convinced "kuya" to give it to him.
Is it LUCK? Coincidence? being at the right time at the right place?
Well, I called it..."an answered prayer!!!"

Thank you Lord! Be it simple! But still, THANK YOU LORD!!!

PRAYERS DO WORK!!!
